The federal budget provides about 30% of state revenue, making it the largest single source of funds for many states. FFIS helps states to manage their federal funds by providing timely analysis of the impact of federal actions on states.
The primary mission of FFIS is to track and report on the fiscal impact of federal budget and policy decisions on state budgets and programs. This information is maintained in a database of more than 200 federal grant-in-aid programs and is disseminated to subscribers through a regular series of reports and briefs.
If you like what you see and you're a state employee from one of these states, contact Carol Ryder (ryder@ffis.org or 202-624-5849) and we'll give you the information you need to access the password-protected area of this website. We'll also add your e-mail address to our database so you receive FFIS publications as soon as they are issued.
