As part of FFIS's mission of tracking federal funds for the states, FFIS attempts
to illustrate for state policymakers why shifts have and may be expected to occur.
The links below provide examples of FFIS's briefs after the 2000 decennial census
that explained reasons for shifts. FFIS also tracks data from other sources that
affect federal funding, such as the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey and
the Bureau of Economic Analysis's personal income estimates.
